From Kirnuhuoko, the trail climbs with stairs to the Hauklammenvuori Hill. From the top of the Hauklammenvuori Hill the scenery is spectacular. Under the cliff, there’s a beautiful swamp pond. When the weather is clear you can see the Vekaranjärvi barracks on the southeast horizon. The big concrete barracks can easily be seen in the middle of the green pine forest.

The Hauklammenvuori Hill is the highest point of the Repovesi National Park at 150 meters from the sea level. On top of the hill there are the ruins of an old wooden land measuring tower, which was used in measuring map co-ordinates, a system now partially obsolete because of the GPS.
